Las Vegas homes officials are prepared if a major tremor brought high structures collapsing to the ground or if a bomb blew up close the Hoover Dam.

One of the college campuses in Maryland was holed up by government and business leaders from southern Nevada last week, managing over a few disaster set-ups, getting remarks on how to develop their emergency management response.

Federal Emergency Management Agency hosted a five day rigorous training assembly join in by Seventy-two people representing groups like the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Metro Police, Nevada Energy, Boyd gaming and more.

Mayor Carolyn Goodman speaks at her press conference Thursday morning, "We were in classrooms and lecture halls with a lot of people with great knowledge of disaster preparation teaching us ... with interactive classes."

Activities integrated on training assembly were a mock-terrorist attack that involved bombs going off at the Hoover Dam, the Strip and Las Vegas homes. Participants who take part in activity were broken up into groups and labored on field-preparedness, emergency communications and recovery after the disaster.

Additional discussions were also done, for natural disasters like major floods or earthquakes all through the week.

Goodman speaks, "The focus was on practicing a coordinated response amongst all the different agencies from firefighters and police to hospitals and utility companies."

Emergency management officer, Carolyn Levering shares, "Although Las Vegas already has an emergency management plan in place, the training did bring up new ideas to help refine the plan."

Levering tells, "One change will be setting up central locations to house multiple agencies involved in responding to the crisis to improve communication and coordination."

She added, "Overall, as a result of this experience our responders are people who are ... better prepared assist and react in our community to any type of emergency."

Hot temperature is climbing back to Las Vegas homes as drier air of around 100 degrees are on its way to the whole community. The drier air will continue to steadily move to the east part today giving a slight chance of thunderstorms in Northern Lincoln County and Mohave County as well, said the weather service.

But moisture will then begin its movement to shift back to west from Thursday to Friday with thunderstorm chances will spread all over the area at least by Saturday, forecasters said.

Forecasters also said that high temperatures will be at its near normal levels through Friday.

Temperature highs today are expected to range from 95 degrees on the west side of the valley while on the east side temperatures will be much higher at about 104 degrees, forecasters said.

The temperature in McCarran International Airport was at 83 degrees which was recorded at around 5:56 a.m. the normal low for today's date is at 79 degrees while the record low for the date was at 63 degrees which was set in 1944.

Meanwhile, just before the 6 a.m. mark, temperatures recorded around the valley were: North Las Vegas Airport- 81 degrees; Henderson Executive Airport- 81 degrees; and Nellis Air Force Base- 81 degrees.

Temperatures at McCarran were said to rise today at 89 degrees by 9 in the morning to 98 degrees in noon time and reach a high of 102 degrees by 3 in the afternoon, forecasters said. The normal temperature high for today's date is 104 degrees and the record high was set at 115 degrees in 1943.

Although the heat will be on during the early afternoon in Las Vegas homes, temperatures are expected to cool off a bit and to drop at 100 degrees by 6 p.m. to 95 degrees at 9 p.m. and as the midnight comes, it will drop to 90 degrees, forecasters said.

The temperature low for Thursday will be at 83 degrees and Thursday's high will reach 103 degrees in Las Vegas homes.

The National Weather Service reported that the clouds lurking around Las Vegas homes could be bringing some heavy rain and gusty winds tonight. Everybody should be ready for a surprise rainfall later tonight.

Forecasters said that there would be a 20% chance of thundershowers for as late as 11 in the evening with temperatures reaching cool down point by early Monday morning that is said to be below 80 degrees.

The said clouds that could bring showers is going to be brought by the monsoon moisture that has been recently increasing over the area of Las Vegas homes in the evening that could also lead thunderstorms across Southern Mohave County and as well as in Southeast San Bernardino County as reported by the Weather Service. They also said that Monsoon moisture and thunderstorm chances will quickly scatter all over the area, as heavy rains and gusty winds are expected.

Wednesday's report said that a low pressure system is moving across the Pacific Northwest including the northern Great Basin to travel from Tuesday through Thursday that will push moisture to south and east and eventually limit thunderstorm chances to Mohave County.

The report also said that the moisture will creep back to north and west from Friday to Saturday as high pressure will develop again near the Four Corners.

The temperature high todays was at 104 degrees that was recorded 12:10 in the afternoon at Las Vegas homes official recording site at McCarran International Airport while the normal high for today was at 105 degrees as reported by the weather service. The record high for today's date was at 117 degrees that was set back in 1942.

MacCarran International Airport temperatures are expected to reach 95 degrees at 9 in the evening that will go down to 89 degrees at midnight and eventually drop to 83 degrees by 5 in the morning.

Monday's temperatures are expected to rise as the day develops. It will climb at 93 degrees by 9 in the morning, to 101 degrees by noon and reaching up to 105 degrees in the afternoon at around 3 p.m.

The Southwest Section of the Professional Golfers' Association and Realtors has teamed and are planning to help golfers buy Las Vegas homes on or near the golf courses in Southern part of Nevada.

The partnership between the Southwest Section of PGA and Golf Realty Network kicked off in some part in Arizona. The and Golf Realty Network is now looking for 10 real estate agents in Southern Nevada to affiliate with the said network.

The Golf Realty Network has a link on the Southwest Section's website in which golfers can book tee times on dozens of courses included in Arizona and Southern Nevada and its undertaking marketing efforts to connect sellers of golf courses properties and buyers.

Al Andersoon, by Arizona Realtors and founder of The Golf Realty Network said, "Before, if someone was golfing on a course and asked the pro about a house, he couldn't answer them or know what to tell them. But now he can send them to someone who has the answer."

Vito Berlingeri, head of marketing for the Southwest Section of the PGA, based in Phoenix said that the golf and real estate go hand in hand now. He also said that he sought out real estate agents and was frustrated because they didn't have the expertise to deal with the golf course properties.

As visitors coming from other states like Canada, East Coast, Midwest, and other parts of the country who come to Las Vegas to play golf, this could be a great sign for having their interests on purchasing a Las Vegas homes to act as their second home near the golf course, Berlingeri said.

Berlingeri said, "That's why we thought this would be a great partnership, because real estate works in conjunction with the game of golf." He also added that they are here to grow the game of golf and with connection with the real estate and that he is considering it as a good match going forward.
